[Report] Decoding China’s power crunch

Over the past several weeks, China’s industrial economy has been plagued by rolling, almost nationwide power shortages. By October 8, 20 provinces had instituted power rationing measures, many of which are still in place. Vast swathes of the industrial economy continue to face disruptions.
